TMS – The Critical Component of any ERP System

TMS – The Critical Component of any ERP System

By Lisa Henthorn, V.P., Marketing & Communications

Still looking to win approval for a substantial TMS investment? It may have just become easier, as Jim Hendrickson, professor at The Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business has shown in his latest results from a recent study of supply chain professionals on case creation, approval processes, failures, and more.

Among the compelling findings:

  • 86% of the respondents believe their ERP needs to be supplemented with other supply chain execution automation
  • The system most often cited as needing to augment the ERP system was a TMS

Eyefreight CEO Ken Fleming and Mr. Hendrickson will explore the full findings from the study in their upcoming presentation “Exploring the New World of Transportation Management” at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference in May, diving into the root causes of business challenges and exploring practical approaches to improve the quality of your business case.

Come check out the presentation on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m., or feel free to stop by the Eyefreight booth (# 311) to see for yourself how Eyefreight’s cloud-based TMS offers a viable option that provides visibility, optimization and collaboration to help you distribute more efficiently.
