This June, Eyefreight will celebrate its eighth anniversary.  For those employees who were present and accounted for at the first anniversary party, this milestone feels no less thrilling.

What began as a transportation management consulting firm run by just a handful of people is now a global leader in Level 5 Transportation Management Software with 65 employees and counting on its team.  In addition, employees and leaders alike are excited to call Eyefreight an international company, having expanded its reach from a solitary headquarters in the Netherlands to a global office network including the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, and the United States.

“When I took the helm, I of course set the company on a course for growth, but I had no idea our trajectory would so far exceed those initial growth goals.  I think I speak for each member of the entire Eyefreight family when I say I am looking forward to another eight years with a team of people who are so committed to the organization’s success,” said CEO Ken Fleming.

Since organizations have all but exhausted options for manufacturing cost reductions, they are quickly turning to distribution as the next avenue of available savings.  The transportation management space is therefore receiving long awaited attention, and Eyefreight is poised to take advantage of the moment…its moment.  The company is quickly investing in new resources and hiring new talent to transform the Eyefreight vision into a reality: help shippers overcome the challenges presented by expanding logistics complexity and extended global networks in an omnichannel, on demand world.

“I take tremendous pride in the high caliber team we have created both here in the Netherlands and worldwide,” CFO and co-founder Gert Jan Jansen op de Haar added.

Jansen op de Haar’s pride is not unfounded.  With a client list that includes Heineken, Levis, Tata Steel, ABB, Nitro Quimica, and many more, Eyefreight was selected as one of the fastest growing young tech companies in the European Tech5 Awards.  Shortly thereafter, Eyefreight CEO Ken Fleming was named a 2016 “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

Fleming shared, “I’m exceptionally proud of the Eyefreight team and so impressed by what we’ve collectively been able to achieve.  I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the Eyefreight we know and love… a great company with a future that grows ever bigger, ever brighter.”
